Using the Focus-Q
- Once you have set up your camera and all functions have been verified with you system engineer you are ready to begin setting up your Focus-Q.
- Zoom all the way into the subject you are going to need to capture with sharp focus!
- Focus the lens as tight as possible. You might want to have your engineer verify proper focus.
- Now that the lens is focused on your subject notice the focus handle and how your fingers fall naturally into the focus knob.
- Stretch the ring out to loosen it up a little. Next, slide it onto the focus knob so the bump on the Focus-Q rests next to your finger.
- If you zoom out for a wider angle, change your focus. Zoom in while at the same time moving the focus knob back to it's home position and you will be ready and able to focus without losing sharpness!
- You can mark several focus positions by simply stacking the rings on the focus knob.
